If my read of BBmolla's flip is correct, that's a weak watcher. Makes sense with his statement that his role would only be useful if he claimed it.

If this is true, BB tried to watch Deas N1. He was convinced the action had gone through and he had lived to tell the tale. The crumbs are pretty visible on the next day:

If Equinox is telling the truth, DV is not confirmed town (unless Ghostlin blocked Xalxinox, and we will never know). There is very very little chance that Equinox is lying: we have a flipped Mafia Roleblocker, so it makes no sense that scum would make a Roleblocker claim. They could, especially if it was a JOAT role, which would be extremely devious (and not beyond Equinox's skills), but I doubt it, especially since CFJ was in full-auto Xalxe lynch mode at the start of D2, with no need for a bus.

I'm inclined to say that BB investigated Nacho on N2, and that was why he did not claim his result the way he did with Deas.

BB's death last night is most likely a suicide (from weak-like modifier). Considering he was suspicious of Mastin all through yesterday, I'm led to believe he watched Mastin last night and died because Mastin is scum.


Alice is confirmed town.
I'm town, and screw anyone who takes issue with this statement, this may well be my most obvtown game ever.
Equinox is very unlikely to be scum, with her block confirmed by the failed vig shot.
CES called for vigging CFJ.

This leaves Mastin, Shadoweh and Deas.

Furthermore, Oversol was Defaced. This is a third scumkill flavor, when there are no signs of a Tarhalindur kill N1. This points vaguely toward Taokaka, Deas's claim, since Taokaka's face is always hidden in shadow.

Unless I'm wrong about CES and there is something odd going on with Equinox, this gives us the game.

- If Mastin flips town (D4: 6 alive, 4 town, 2 scum);
-- DeasVail is vigged, one of {Shadoweh, DeasVail} is roleblocked, 50% chance of a townie death (N4: 4 alive, 3 town, 1 scum at worst);
-- Shadoweh is lynched (D5: 3 alive, 3 town, game over).

- If Mastin flips scum (D4: 6 alive, 5 town, 1 scum);
-- DeasVail is vigged, one of {Shadoweh, DeasVail} is roleblocked, 50% chance of a townie death:

Disagree. If he was a weak watcher, I'd think that'd be his role name. That's not a useless role by any means either (you should be watching townies anyway).

No. What I think is that he is a Watcher that commits suicide if he watches a kill (maybe just a night kill). Now I don't know what he saw N1 but I think it's fairly likely he saw something.

Which leads me to my next conclusion: Equinox is not a roleblocker. No-actioning N2? Blocking the softclaimed vig N3? I doubt it. I think she's unnightkillable.

CES, then why did CFJ go in lynch Xalxe mode on D2? Was he hoping to be called out in his bullshit and avoid a bus? It still seems weird, but your rationale seems to fit, as does the view on BBmolla's role. BB's words re: Deas could be just in light of the Glork flip.

He was already pushing Xalxe by the end of D1. He was just being "consistent". In fact, if there wasn't a pattern of him acting that way (which is how I caught him, ftr), you could reasonably argue that he'd be less likely to just drop a case on a scum partner.

It's not a VT PM, it's a pseudo Named Townie PM. Vi likes this kind of thing--I was shaft.ed, Rigged Gaydar in Tiger MetaTiger. Not a VT, but my powers didn't actually do anything, if you know what I'm talking about.

The No Action on Night 2 was not on purpose. I'd forgotten that I was a town roleblocker and went into Night assuming I was a vanilla townie. It took Vi's prod at the beginning of Day 3 for me to remember that I had had something to do.

I blocked Alicewondering because I thought you were the vig. After Nobody Special flipped town, it was between BBmolla (who Xalxe had already blocked with no visible result), DeasVail (the claimed neighbor, no point to blocking it), Alicewondering, and Mastin (who was likely to get shot).

Now that we're done massclaiming, lynch Mastin tomorrow, please.

Instead of waiting for the massclaim to finish to get whatever information could be gleaned of the setup, Mastin's immediate reaction was to discredit my claim in any way he could as soon as I'd made it. He knew that there was a vig shot missing; there was no Abu Dhabi flavor this morning. There's no reason why Alicewondering wouldn't have shot last Night. If Mastin is scum, there's one obvious explanation: Alicewondering was blocked, and I confirmed it by claiming.

Alicewondering and I were about to confirm each other. With a mutual town read in Tierce and likely Cogito Ergo Sum, Mastin-scum was in a corner. The only thing he could do was try to shut down my claim before that could happen.

My claim so far hasn't been a total disaster for scum -- see Cogito Ergo Sum and Tierce -- but Mastin's reaction makes me fairly sure he was scum whose skin I ended up saving yesterday in typical Equinox fashion.

I probably should read Day 1, but don't count on it as I'm likely off writing a big paper due Friday.

I can't seem to figure it out, though. I mean, this *is* what I've been saying. I said yesterday that Equinoxalxe and DeasVail were scum. I kinda figured Alice would be the vig. And through inverted-POE, CES and Shadow would be town, in addition to my townread on CES (I might as well say that it's due to RPG Mafia) and minor townlean on Shadow.

It's just that...it feels...wrong for some reason.

I dunno. Maybe my gut's saying "it couldn't be *that* easy, could it?" Y'know, that this is too easy, that it's too...convenient. I need to go check things again.

From your position, if you are town, the only way that logic can be wrong is if CES, Shadoweh or yours truly is scum.

Seven players alive, four to lynch. We are at 5:2 (see my note about kill flavor, and Alice being an SK is... improbable, to say the least). One of those five is confirmed (Alice), two are strong town reads by everyone (CES and I), the Nyan claim is very likely true because why would Shadoweh make an absurd claim when the VT-style PM is on the first post.

You, Equinox and DeasVail are the remaining three.


You know why it's easy? Because we had dead scum on the first two nights, and in the meantime town created strong townreads on each other. This tends to lead to curbstomping scum in lategame.

I'm looking at page two, and I do admit, the interaction between DV and Xalxe seems wrong, so yeah, there is scum in there, but...well...I'm not sure it's both of them. I can't explain why, but it feels wrong.

I... didn't consider that until you mentioned it. Bleh. I was also assuming for some reason that DeasVail would be getting vigged tonight, but vigging Mastin tonight makes sense, too.

Mastin's probably right that the game is won for town even with a mislynch today; Shadoweh's likely not scum -- the nyan makes sense for flavor anyhow -- so it's DeasVail and Mastin.

It actually makes sense. Watchers see any kind of action--dying upon a kill on who they are watching would make quite a bit of sense to weaken what is a powerful town role. Vi doesn't like straight cops, and a watcher who sees town dying is, effectively, a cop with a guilty. BB probably watched Deas N1, someone else (not Nacho/CFJ N2), and last night watched Oversol die. His role was good for watching PRs move about, but ineffective against kills/scumkills. This is typical Vi design.

CES isn't scum because he called for the vig on CFJ, among other things. He isn't nearly as shifty and cryptic here as he was in MLP, and I was hi scumbuddy and day neighbor--if someone ought to understand what CES was on about in that game, it would be me, and I didn't most of the time. His play here is rather different.

But believing he was scum and both of you weren't town quicklynching town for the sake of hammering is all that keeps my belief in humanity alive. I wanted to see if BBmolla would go through with it since it was his idea Day 1 in the first place. I told you I believe in manufactured meta tells as much as you do -_-

And no, you weren't 'more confirmed town' for it. You were already town, I didn't need to get more tells from you.
